1. | Waz-zaariyaati zarwaa | By the (Winds) that scatter broadcast; | وَالذَّارِيَاتِ ذَرْوًا |
|
2. | Falhaamilaati wiqraa | And those that lift and bear away heavy weights; | فَالْحَامِلَاتِ وِقْرًا |
|
3. | Faljaariyaati yusraa | And those that flow with ease and gentleness; | فَالْجَارِيَاتِ يُسْرًا |
|
4. | Falmuqassimaati amraa | And those that distribute and apportion by Command;- | فَالْمُقَسِّمَاتِ أَمْرًا |
|
5. | Innamaa too'adoona la-saadiq | Verily that which ye are promised is true; | إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَصَادِقٌ |
|
6. | Wa innad deena la waaqi' | And verily Judgment and Justice must indeed come to pass. | وَإِنَّ الدِّينَ لَوَاقِعٌ |
|
7. | Wassamaaa'i zaatil hubuk | By the Sky with (its) numerous Paths, | وَالسَّمَاءِ ذَاتِ الْحُبُكِ |
|
8. | Innakum lafee qawlim mukhtalif | Truly ye are in a doctrine discordant, | إِنَّكُمْ لَفِي قَوْلٍ مُخْتَلِفٍ |
|
9. | Yu'faku 'anhu man ufik | Through which are deluded (away from the Truth) such as would be deluded. | يُؤْفَكُ عَنْهُ مَنْ أُفِكَ |
|
10. | Qutilal kharraasoon | Woe to the falsehood-mongers,- | قُتِلَ الْخَرَّاصُونَ |
|
11. | Allazeena hum fee ghamratin saahoon | Those who (flounder) heedless in a flood of confusion: | الَّذِينَ هُمْ فِي غَمْرَةٍ سَاهُونَ |
|
12. | Yas'aloona ayyaana yawmud Deen | They ask, "When will be the Day of Judgment and Justice?" | يَسْأَلُونَ أَيَّانَ يَوْمُ الدِّينِ |
|
13. | Yawma hum 'alan naari yuftanoon | (It will be) a Day when they will be tried (and tested) over the Fire! | يَوْمَ هُمْ عَلَى النَّارِ يُفْتَنُونَ |
|
14. | Zooqoo fitnatakum haa zal lazee kuntum bihee tas ta'jiloon | "Taste ye your trial! This is what ye used to ask to be hastened!" | ذُوقُوا فِتْنَتَكُمْ هَٰذَا الَّذِي كُنْتُمْ بِهِ تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ |

15. | Innal muttaqeena fee jannaatinw wa 'uyoon | As to the Righteous, they will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs, | إِنَّ الْمُتَّقِينَ فِي جَنَّاتٍ وَعُيُونٍ |
|
16. | Aakhizeena maaa aataahum Rabbuhum; innahum kaanoo qabla zaalika muhsineen | Taking joy in the things which their Lord gives them, because, before then, they lived a good life. | آخِذِينَ مَا آتَاهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَبْلَ ذَٰلِكَ مُحْسِنِينَ |

17. | kaanoo qaleelam minal laili maa yahja'oon | They were in the habit of sleeping but little by night, | كَانُوا قَلِيلًا مِنَ اللَّيْلِ مَا يَهْجَعُونَ |
|
18. | Wa bil as haari hum yastaghfiroon | And in the hour of early dawn, they (were found) praying for Forgiveness; | وَبِالْأَسْحَارِ هُمْ يَسْتَغْفِرُونَ |
|
19. | Wa feee amwaalihim haqqul lissaaa'ili walmahroom | And in their wealth and possessions (was remembered) the right of the (needy,) him who asked, and him who (for some reason) was prevented (from asking). | وَفِي أَمْوَالِهِمْ حَقٌّ لِلسَّائِلِ وَالْمَحْرُومِ |

20. | Wa fil ardi aayaatul lilmooqineen | On the earth are signs for those of assured Faith, | وَفِي الْأَرْضِ آيَاتٌ لِلْمُوقِنِينَ |
|
21. | Wa feee anfusikum; afalaa tubsiroon | As also in your own selves: Will ye not then see? | وَفِي أَنْفُسِكُمْ ۚ أَفَلَا تُبْصِرُونَ |
|
22. | Wa fissamaaa'i rizqukum wa maa too'adoon | And in heaven is your Sustenance, as (also) that which ye are promised. | وَفِي السَّمَاءِ رِزْقُكُمْ وَمَا تُوعَدُونَ |
|
23. | Fawa Rabbis samaaa'i wal ardi innahoo lahaqqum misla maa annakum tantiqoon | Then, by the Lord of heaven and earth, this is the very Truth, as much as the fact that ye can speak intelligently to each other. | فَوَرَبِّ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ إِنَّهُ لَحَقٌّ مِثْلَ مَا أَنَّكُمْ تَنْطِقُونَ |

24. | Hal ataaka hadeesu daifi Ibraaheemal mukrameen | Has the story reached thee, of the honoured guests of Abraham? | هَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ ضَيْفِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْمُكْرَمِينَ |
|
25. | Iz dakhaloo 'alaihi faqaaloo salaaman qaala salaamun qawmum munkaroon | Behold, they entered his presence, and said: "Peace!" He said, "Peace!" (and thought, "These seem) unusual people." | إِذْ دَخَلُوا عَلَيْهِ فَقَالُوا سَلَامًا ۖ قَالَ سَلَامٌ قَوْمٌ مُنْكَرُونَ |
|
26. | Faraagha ilaaa ahlihee fajaaa'a bi'ijlin sameen | Then he turned quickly to his household, brought out a fatted calf, | فَرَاغَ إِلَىٰ أَهْلِهِ فَجَاءَ بِعِجْلٍ سَمِينٍ |
|
27. | Faqarrabahooo ilaihim qaala alaa taakuloon | And placed it before them.. he said, "Will ye not eat?" | فَقَرَّبَهُ إِلَيْهِمْ قَالَ أَلَا تَأْكُلُونَ |
|
28. | Fa awjasa minhum khee fatan qaaloo laa takhaf wa bashsharoohu bighulaamin 'aleem | (When they did not eat), He conceived a fear of them. They said, "Fear not," and they gave him glad tidings of a son endowed with knowledge. | فَأَوْجَسَ مِنْهُمْ خِيفَةً ۖ قَالُوا لَا تَخَفْ ۖ وَبَشَّرُوهُ بِغُلَامٍ عَلِيمٍ |

29. | Fa aqbalatim ra-atuhoo fee sarratin fasakkat wajhahaa wa qaalat 'ajoozun 'aqeem | But his wife came forward (laughing) aloud: she smote her forehead and said: "A barren old woman!" | فَأَقْبَلَتِ امْرَأَتُهُ فِي صَرَّةٍ فَصَكَّتْ وَجْهَهَا وَقَالَتْ عَجُوزٌ عَقِيمٌ |

30. | Qaaloo kazaaliki qaala Rabbuki innahoo huwal hakeemul 'aleem (End Juz 26) | They said, "Even so has thy Lord spoken: and He is full of Wisdom and Knowledge." | قَالُوا كَذَٰلِكِ قَالَ رَبُّكِ ۖ إِنَّهُ هُوَ الْحَكِيمُ الْعَلِيمُ |
|
31. | Qaala famaa khatbukum ayyuhal mursaloon | (Abraham) said: "And what, O ye Messengers, is your errand (now)?" | قَالَ فَمَا خَطْبُكُمْ أَيُّهَا الْمُرْسَلُونَ |
|
32. | Qaalooo innaaa ursilnaaa ilaa qawmim mujrimeen | They said, "We have been sent to a people (deep) in sin;- | قَالُوا إِنَّا أُرْسِلْنَا إِلَىٰ قَوْمٍ مُجْرِمِينَ |
|
33. | Linursila 'alaihim hijaa ratam min teen | "To bring on, on them, (a shower of) stones of clay (brimstone), | لِنُرْسِلَ عَلَيْهِمْ حِجَارَةً مِنْ طِينٍ |
|
34. | Musawwamatan 'inda rabbika lilmusrifeen | "Marked as from thy Lord for those who trespass beyond bounds." | مُسَوَّمَةً عِنْدَ رَبِّكَ لِلْمُسْرِفِينَ |
|
35. | Fa akhrajnaa man kaana feehaa minal mu'mineen | Then We evacuated those of the Believers who were there, | فَأَخْرَجْنَا مَنْ كَانَ فِيهَا مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ |
|
36. | Famaa wajadnaa feehaa ghaira baitim minal muslimeen | But We found not there any just (Muslim) persons except in one house: | فَمَا وَجَدْنَا فِيهَا غَيْرَ بَيْتٍ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ |
|
37. | Wa taraknaa feehaaa aayatal lillazeena yakhaafoonal 'azaabal aleem | And We left there a Sign for such as fear the Grievous Penalty. | وَتَرَكْنَا فِيهَا آيَةً لِلَّذِينَ يَخَافُونَ الْعَذَابَ الْأَلِيمَ |

38. | Wa fee Moosaaa iz arsalnaahu ilaa Fir'awna bisultaa nim mubeen | And in Moses (was another Sign): Behold, We sent him to Pharaoh, with authority manifest. | وَفِي مُوسَىٰ إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَاهُ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ بِسُلْطَانٍ مُبِينٍ |

39. | Fatawalla biruknihee wa qaala saahirun aw majnoon | But (Pharaoh) turned back with his Chiefs, and said, "A sorcerer, or one possessed!" | فَتَوَلَّىٰ بِرُكْنِهِ وَقَالَ سَاحِرٌ أَوْ مَجْنُونٌ |
|
40. | Fa akhaznaahu wa junoo dahoo fanabaznaahum fil yammi wa huwa muleem | So We took him and his forces, and threw them into the sea; and his was the blame. | فَأَخَذْنَاهُ وَجُنُودَهُ فَنَبَذْنَاهُمْ فِي الْيَمِّ وَهُوَ مُلِيمٌ |
|
41. | Wa fee 'Aadin iz arsalnaa 'alaihimur reehal'aqeem | And in the ´Ad (people) (was another Sign): Behold, We sent against them the devastating Wind: | وَفِي عَادٍ إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمُ الرِّيحَ الْعَقِيمَ |

42. | Maa tazaru min shai'in atat 'alaihi illaa ja'alat hu karrameem | It left nothing whatever that it came up against, but reduced it to ruin and rottenness. | مَا تَذَرُ مِنْ شَيْءٍ أَتَتْ عَلَيْهِ إِلَّا جَعَلَتْهُ كَالرَّمِيمِ |
|
43. | Wa fee Samooda iz qeela lahum tamatta''oo hattaa heen | And in the Thamud (was another Sign): Behold, they were told, "Enjoy (your brief day) for a little while!" | وَفِي ثَمُودَ إِذْ قِيلَ لَهُمْ تَمَتَّعُوا حَتَّىٰ حِينٍ |
|
44. | Fa'ataw 'an amri Rabbihim fa akhazat humus saa'iqatu wa hum yanzuroon | But they insolently defied the Command of their Lord: So the stunning noise (of an earthquake) seized them, even while they were looking on. | فَعَتَوْا عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهِمْ فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّاعِقَةُ وَهُمْ يَنْظُرُونَ |
|
45. | Famas tataa'oo min qiyaaminw wa maa kaanoo muntasireen | Then they could not even stand (on their feet), nor could they help themselves. | فَمَا اسْتَطَاعُوا مِنْ قِيَامٍ وَمَا كَانُوا مُنْتَصِرِينَ |
|
46. | Wa qawma Noohim min qablu innahum kaano qawman faasiqeen | So were the People of Noah before them for they wickedly transgressed. | وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍ مِنْ قَبْلُ ۖ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَوْمًا فَاسِقِينَ |

47. | Wassamaaa'a banainaa haa bi aydinw wa innaa lamoosi'oon | With power and skill did We construct the Firmament: for it is We Who create the vastness of space. | وَالسَّمَاءَ بَنَيْنَاهَا بِأَيْدٍ وَإِنَّا لَمُوسِعُونَ |
|
48. | Wal arda farashnaahaa fani'mal maahidoon | And We have spread out the (spacious) earth: How excellently We do spread out! | وَالْأَرْضَ فَرَشْنَاهَا فَنِعْمَ الْمَاهِدُونَ |
|
49. | Wa min kulli shai'in khalaqnaa zawjaini la'allakum tazakkaroon | And of every thing We have created pairs: That ye may receive instruction. | وَمِنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ خَلَقْنَا زَوْجَيْنِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ |

50. | Fafirrooo ilal laahi innee lakum minhu nazeerum mubeen | Hasten ye then (at once) to Allah: I am from Him a Warner to you, clear and open! | فَفِرُّوا إِلَى اللَّهِ ۖ إِنِّي لَكُمْ مِنْهُ نَذِيرٌ مُبِينٌ |

51. | Wa laa taj'aloo ma'al laahi ilaahan aakhara innee lakum minhu nazeerum mubeen | And make not another an object of worship with Allah: I am from Him a Warner to you, clear and open! | وَلَا تَجْعَلُوا مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا آخَرَ ۖ إِنِّي لَكُمْ مِنْهُ نَذِيرٌ مُبِينٌ |
|
52. | Kazaalika maaa atal lazeena min qablihim mir Rasoolin illaa qaaloo saahirun aw majnoon | Similarly, no messenger came to the Peoples before them, but they said (of him) in like manner, "A sorcerer, or one possessed"! | كَذَٰلِكَ مَا أَتَى الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ مِنْ رَسُولٍ إِلَّا قَالُوا سَاحِرٌ أَوْ مَجْنُونٌ |
|
53. | Atawaasaw bih; bal hum qawmun taaghoon | Is this the legacy they have transmitted, one to another? Nay, they are themselves a people transgressing beyond bounds! | أَتَوَاصَوْا بِهِ ۚ بَلْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ طَاغُونَ |
|
54. | Fatawalla 'anhum famaaa anta bimaloom | So turn away from them: not thine is the blame. | فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ فَمَا أَنْتَ بِمَلُومٍ |
|
55. | Wa zakkir fa innaz zikraa tanfa'ul mu'mineen | But teach (thy Message) for teaching benefits the Believers. | وَذَكِّرْ فَإِنَّ الذِّكْرَىٰ تَنْفَعُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ |
|
56. | Wa maa khalaqtul jinna wal insa illaa liya'budoon | I have only created Jinns and men, that they may serve Me. | وَمَا خَلَقْتُ الْجِنَّ وَالْإِنْسَ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُونِ |
|
57. | Maaa ureedu minhum mir rizqinw wa maaa ureedu anyyut'imoon | No Sustenance do I require of them, nor do I require that they should feed Me. | مَا أُرِيدُ مِنْهُمْ مِنْ رِزْقٍ وَمَا أُرِيدُ أَنْ يُطْعِمُونِ |
|
58. | Innal laaha Huwar Razzaaqu Zul Quwwatil Mateen | For Allah is He Who gives (all) Sustenance,- Lord of Power,- Steadfast (for ever). | إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الرَّزَّاقُ ذُو الْقُوَّةِ الْمَتِينُ |

59. | Fa inna lillazeena zalamoo zanoobam misla zanoobi ashaabihim falaa yasta'jiloon | For the Wrong-doers, their portion is like unto the portion of their fellows (of earlier generations): then let them not ask Me to hasten (that portion)! | فَإِنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا ذَنُوبًا مِثْلَ ذَنُوبِ أَصْحَابِهِمْ فَلَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونِ |

60. | Fawailul lillazeena kafaroo miny yawmihimul lazee yoo'adoon | Woe, then, to the Unbelievers, on account of that Day of theirs which they have been promised! | فَوَيْلٌ لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ يَوْمِهِمُ الَّذِي يُوعَدُونَ |
